What Has Happened To Creativity?

Is displaying creativity recreating something that was done ten to twenty years ago but has a new spin? Will the definition of creativity vary depend on who you ask? Should creativity always be in an original format? Does everyone have the ability to be creative or does only a select few possess the ability to be creative?

The thought about being creative came about when thinking of things lately that feel awe to familiar. Example number one: The movie "State of Play" doesn't that feel a similar scenerio from "State of the Union." At first, glance it seems deja vu. The movie has not made it to the theaters yet; however, movie goers will be the ultimate judge. Example number two: Remember the song "Two Occasions." Not sure about everyone else but I like the original version, is it a form of expression if the original version is modified to accompany rap verses? You be the judge.

Don't get me wrong there are all sorts of ways of being creative and as we have seen through film and with music. The level of creativity will vary depending on the author and type of content being relayed to their desired audience. My stance to you is to base your level of creativity on your abilities and no one else's. Explore your gifts and embrace your talents! We all have the ability to be creative, but in what-we have the answer.

Remember this phrase when thinking about being creative.

Gs to Gents Update:

I am not sure if any of you watch reality TV. I watched season one of Gs to Gents which was a show produced by Jamie Foxx and hosted by Fonzworth Bentley. The show was intended to turn men into true gentlemen. Each week they were presented with challenges such as using proper diction and how to display chivalry.

I must admit it was hilarious at times an even down right sad at others. These guys are men women have to choose as husbands, how sad. Thaddeus aka Creepa won the first season. I found a link that shows what he is doing now. I guess reality TV can impact people to change. You be the judge!
